The TS 1000 and TS 1500 didn't have a built-in cartridge slot like the TS2068. To provide it, Timex designed a cartridge interface, the TS 1510 Command Cartridge Player. It was no success at all and only four cartridges were ever produced.
The cartridge software required 16K ram. The 16K ram extension could be plugged in at the rear side of the extension to use it with a TS1000 or ZX81. The TS1500 already came with built-in 16K ram.
The cartrige was mapped to address $2000 - $3FFF (8192 - 16383).
The TS1500 automatically booted into the cartridge, but on a TS1000 you had to enter RAND USR 8192.
The 1510 interface and modules are extremely rare today. In Dec. 2005 an auction on ebay for the interface and two modules, all boxed, ended at ~ $450,-!

The TS1510 ROM cartridges can be either 8K, 16K or 24K.
If 8K then it appears at $2000-$3FFF.
If 16K then the first 8K appears at $2000-$3FFF and the second 8K appears at $8000-$9FFF.
If 24K then the first 8K appears at $2000-$3FFF, the second 8K appears at $8000-$9FFF and the third 8K appears at $A000-$BFFF.
Flight Simulation is 16K. It is a copy of the Psion's Flight simulation cassette, except the final BASIC line is incomplete. However, the last 2 lines are only there to auto-run the game after loading from cassette and this is not used by the cartridge. Instead it directly runs from line 2. I had to change EightyOne to support this cartridge since it only supported the basic 8K cartridge. I am not aware of any actual 24K cartridges.
