For this keyboard the upper casing of the ZX Spectrum had to be removed and two flat ribbon plugs plugged into the original keyboard connectors. Though the keyboard is good looking and mechanically stabe built, it had a couple of funny quirks:
First of all the stickers. When it came out of the box, all keys were unlabeled. Instead you had to apply the stickers to all the keys yourself. These stickers had the typical sticker glue and therefore warmth, hand sweat and the frequent rubbing during use made them move and flake. So after a while all frequently used keys had severe wear. And you had to be very careful when cleaning the keys or you could seek for your stickers in the cloth you were using. Luckily there were also some spare stickers provided, but i don't know for which keys.
Then they used a funny placement for symbol and caps shift keys surrounded by keys expected to be pressed in conjunction with the shift key. Planned was something like "push the shift key in the middle and the desired key near to it". E.g. one symbol shift key was placed in the middle of keys labeled "+", "-", "*", "#" and "=". To get these symbols you had to press symbol shift plus this key on the original keyboard and it seemed a good idea to Saga to make usage more simple this way. Maybe now disabled people with only one hand could use the ZX Spectrum better, but i failed to get used to it. Trying to press two of these keys in proper sequence nearly breaks my fingers. I prefer shifting with one hand and pressing the corresponding letter key with the other. Not to mention the complete non-standard arrangement of all keys arround the main keyboard field, which was common to all keyboards of this time.
The keys had an audible click – when they came up! :-)
