The Memotech keyboard was one of the few keyboards for the ZX81 which was connected to the expansion bus with one of their typically styled interfaces named Memopak I/F – you did not need to open the computer. The computer keys and the Memotech keyboard could be used in parallel.
It was available in at least three versions:
• Black base with black keys,
• black base with white keys and
• blue base with blue keys.
The keyboard and the interface were manufactured in the typical Memotech way: The cases were made from continuous casted aluminium with a faceplate fitted to the left and right. The keys looked very appealing but i don't know how durable the printing was. Besides one additional shift key in the top right corner there were no extra keys.
It came in a simple unprinted white cardboard box with the typical split styrofoam insert.
I own a blue one, in pretty good condition, as you can see from the pictures. :-) Since 2006-06 i also own the black/black and black/white one and i have at least one manual, which i have scanned. Pictures of the keyboards are still in the queue. [2006-06]
