Enterprise Programmable (July 1977) were among the last generation of calculators with red LED displays. They represented Sinclair's final attempt to regain the company's position in a market increasingly becoming dominated by more power-efficient Japanese-made LCD calculators. Neither calculator was a great success and both ended up being sold at a loss. At the time, Sinclair was being propped up by a government agency, the National Enterprise Board, hence the name of the calculators.
