One of the frustrations with the Sinclair QL was always trying to network two or more machines (you could even add a Sinclair ZX Spectrum with ZX Interface 1 to the network).  However, with Toolkit 2, programs such as Fleet Tactical Command were possible, allowing several QLs to be networked together and a person using each computer to control a different part of the game.

To help you test your network and get it set up correctly, Di-Ren launched the Network prover - this is a small box which flashes an LED whenever there is network activity - simply plug the supplied cable into one QL (or Sinclair ZX Spectrum) network port and plug your network lead intot the other side of the box.
